Hello, glad to see you are a gentoo user. cause i am using it too, really cool distro. beside of this article i wonder to know if you get your blackberry working as modem under gentoo? i am having problem here, it works under ubuntu, but in gentoo not, even i copied ubuntu’s kernel configuration for gentoo’s. :s looking forward to your response thanks

Hey! Any word on part 2? I been looking into this, i dont want bluky software as i may use this on a small embeded machine.

Have you had any luck with getting it actualy working?

I vote for a part2. I got the vodafone package thanks to the jokey overlay (which was missing:
dev-python/pyserial
dev-python/pytz
dev-python/gnome-python
dev-python/twisted-conch
) as dependancy.
But I get a gui that asks me questions I cannot answer and the USB key doesn’t seem to be “known”…

I got my Rogers Novatel MC950D works immediately by installing the package from the following link and restart my ubuntu:

https://forge.betavine.net/projects/vodafonemobilec/

Maybe you can give it a try.
